MyMiddlesexNJ.Com

Welcome

Some years ago when the Courier News changed their url on the web from c-n.com to mycentraljersey.com I thought it might be a good idea to change middlesexboro.net to mymiddlesexnj.com. So I secured the domain and have maintained it ever since. I did for a short time re-direct or change my dot net site to it. Needless to say, this was not so good an idea. Middlesexboro.Net had become to established and feedback indicated it was well left alone as Middlesexboro.Net and still remains as such.

At one time years ago the borough had a small news publication, The Middlesex Mirror, and more recently The Chronicle which has also stopped covering our borough news. Not that there is an abundance of news in our small borough but there are some news worthy events  that go unnoticed or not publicized well . Things that bring together community in times of need. Or fund raisers, charity events, local sporting events & schedules etc.

With no "Local" news media outlet other then The Star Ledger & The Courier News I feel Middlesex Borough could use our very own news publication,

Utilizing high school students perhaps perusing a career in some form of communications, journalism, photography, videography, web and or computer programming. Through a liaison to publishers and editors of MyMiddlesexNJ.com who would be comprised of people like you. Residents who might be bloggers, free lance journalist, a teacher in one of our schools, photographers, photo hobbyist, anyone with an interest in contributing to an on line news publication covering our local news.

If you would like to be a part of this and think you could help make this happen or a student who has an interest.

Use the contact form and let me know what you think.

If enough people respond and show an interest we will set up a meeting at a local venue to get started.

This would not be under my control- I do not wish to be editor in chief. I want residents to take charge, set up committees and staff, ie. writers, contributors, editors & publishers. I will provide the website and hosting and any training said individuals might need to access appropriate levels of the website for adding and editing articles and content.
This is something I'd had been thinking about for a while now and just thought I'd put this out there and see what kind of response this gets.

If enough people want to get involved, it can happen.

Kind Regards,
Howard Hahn
